75 Sparkling Ideas for our 75th Anniversary
The Program of Work Committee last year gleaned 50 “best practices” from the 2000–2002 State Organization Biennial Reports and shared them at the Regional Conferences and on the Delta Kappa Gamma website. The response was so positive, we decided to celebrate our 75th Birthday by sharing 75 “best practices” collected primarily from the 2002–2004 biennial reports.
Several state program chairmen asked that the programs be grouped according to committee, i.e., Personal Growth and Services, Professional Affairs, Research and Music and the Arts. This we did, but many of these great programs could be categorized in several ways. Also included for each idea is a suggestion about which purpose(s) a program might support. Purpose numbers appear at the end of each description in parentheses.
So, as you plan your 2006–2008 programs, please check out what we’ve assembled. Take an idea; revise it; make it your own; and then, share it again!
75 Project Pearls
The 2002–2004 Program of Work Biennial Reports were full of interesting, pragmatic information not only about programs but also about chapter and state projects. We harvested 75 "project pearls" from your reports in no particular order. Some are grouped together because many chapters have similar projects; however, some have unique twists.
